Hearsay in 3 days, global warming in 5

Things are getting ugly. It’s three days before my Evidence final and I just opened the chapter on hearsay to discover that, oh shit, this stuff is really complicated. Who knew. I also have five days to write a 30-page paper (that I haven’t even started yet) analyzing various international laws on global warming, then pack up my entire apartment and put my possessions into storage. And pick my parents up at the airport. And graduate. And sit in front of an evil breast pump for at least five hours a day. And take baby to get her vaccines before we lose our good health insurance. And pick up every prescription refill I can get my hands on for the same reason. And drive madly across the country with a cooler full of dry ice before my precious store of frozen breast milk melts. Oh, and take a Thai final. Um...

After spurning offers of Evidence outlines earlier this semester, I humbly appear before you with my tail between my legs asking, make that begging, for your old Evidence outlines. If you have one that you can send me, I won’t send you a picture of my boobs (that tactic didn’t work the last time), but I swear I’ll be eternally grateful. And if I manage to graduate from law school, I’ll start posting pithy and witty things on my blog again. So if you love and/or pity me, send your old evidence outlines to ka4037 at yahoo.

Crap-o-rama.

I've got some EMT notes you can have. Evidence.. not so much. They both start with "E"... does that help?

Um, the fact that Evidence starts with an "E" is probably the extent of my knowledge of the subject right now. I repeat my earlier sentiment - crap-o-rama.

I just sent you an outline.

Evidence sucked ass.

I just took Corporations . . . which was like being covered in honey and slowly being devoured by ants over a 4 hour period of time. It sucked ass.

As does law school generally.

I took evidence last summer. It killed me. I was so unprepared or it could be that the exam was 400 true/false questions. I wish I had an outline to give you but I think all I did was hand draw some diagrams which are now sitting in a city garbage dump- maybe that's why I did poorly....

Good luck!

You really know how to make the rest of us feel all boring and lazy, dontcha?

Good luck! You'll pull it off.

I can't believe that you are even attempting to study. I gave that up long ago. At this point, I commit to going to class and if I don't learn it there enough to be refreshed by reading through my notes then it just ain't gonna happen. Well, there is that whole bar thing but baby steps.

Just remember it all boils down to whether or not it goes to the truth of the matter asserted and try to memorize the exceptions that's the best you can do.

The good news is you will get it done because it has to get done... you're graduating! Woo!

Good luck! Sorry I don't have more to offer but I haven't been to law school.

I have no idea what ever happened to my Evidence outline since I took the class over 9 years ago, but I have a super anal-retentive friend who would have kept just that, well...maybe, but I'll ask her!

I wish I had some Evidence outlines to give you...I would if I could.

My hubby went through law school not too long ago...but I doubt he ever made outlines. lol

All you really need to know about hearsay is that everything is freaking admissible somehow. Oh, and that "out of court statement offered to prove the truth of the matter asserted" crap. You actually will use this again, but it only starts to make sense in your second year of practice.
